abstract | Provided is a method for easily forming an excellent perm. In a method of forming a permanent by applying a reducing composition containing a reducing agent and an oxidizing composition containing an oxidizing agent to the hair, the hair is treated in the presence of the reducing agent and the oxidizing agent. . The reducing agent may be thioglycolic acid or a salt thereof. Moreover, the ratio of the said reducing agent is about 0.1 to 15 weight% with respect to the whole reducing composition. The reducing composition may further contain an alkali agent and may have a pH of about 8 to 11. The oxidizing agent may be at least one oxidizing agent (particularly bromate) selected from the group consisting of oxygen acids, peracids and salts thereof. The ratio of the oxidizing agent may be about 0.05 to 15% by weight with respect to the entire oxidizing composition, and the pH of the oxidizing composition may be about 4.5 to 10. The reducing composition and oxidizing composition may be applied to the hair for about 5 to 40 minutes at room temperature. [Selection figure] None |
