abstract | Provided are a connection terminal in which both a bridge and a skip are not generated, and a method for manufacturing a semiconductor chip mounting substrate using the connection terminal. In a connection terminal formed on a surface of a substrate including a base material 5 and a conductor 4 (connection terminal) formed on the base material, an upper surface or a side surface of the conductor has an electroless plating film 17. The thickness of the electroless plating film on the side surface of the conductor is the same as or thinner than the thickness of the electroless plating film on the upper surface of the conductor, or the entire upper surface of the conductor is electroless plated. A connection terminal which is covered with a film and has a structure in which a part of the side surface of the conductor is partially covered with an electroless plating film or the entire side surface of the conductor is not covered with an electroless plating film.
