titleOfInvention Plasma melting apparatus, plasma melting method, and crucible
abstract When a powder material such as silicon powder is melted by a plasma torch, a yield loss is low due to a large scattering loss when a powdery raw material is charged. Silicon evaporates under the influence of high temperature. A bottomed cylindrical crucible having an opening at the top and containing an object to be melted therein, and a plasma torch comprising an electrode and a nozzle surrounding the electrode, wherein at least a peripheral region of the opening is electrically conductive. When a voltage is applied between the electrode of the plasma torch and the peripheral region of the opening, a current-carrying plasma is generated between the electrode and the region. A plasma melting apparatus in which a plasma torch and a crucible are arranged so that at least one of the gas after the plasma disappears is blown into the crucible. [Selection] Figure 3
