abstract | The present invention provides a coated base paper and a method for producing coated paper that have a high yield and excellent blister resistance even when paper is produced at high speed and high ash content using a high speed paper machine. The cation charge density is in the range of 200 to 1000 μeq / g, the anion charge density is in the range of 200 to 1000 μeq / g, and the cation charge density / anion charge density ratio is in the range of 1.2 to 5.0.
