titleOfInvention | Hygroscopic crimped composite fiber |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a raw yarn for a fabric having a breathable self-adjusting function and a moisture-permeable waterproof function by manifesting crimps upon absorption of water and shrinking the apparent yarn length, and a method for producing the same. In a composite fiber in which a polyamide component PA and a polyester component PES are bonded side-by-side, at least 60 mol% of units constituting the polyester of the polyester component are occupied by ethylene terephthalate units, and 0.5 to 40 mol% Is a copolyester occupied by ethylene isophthalate units, and a composite fiber containing 5% to 30% by weight of the water-swellable polyetherester polymer (A) in the polyester component. Preferably, the composite fiber crimp ratio (TC) is 1 to 10%, and the water absorbent crimp ratio is 3 to 20%. [Selection] Figure 1 |
