abstract |
The present invention provides an exemplary apparatus for producing a dry powder composition. An apparatus for producing a dry powder, the apparatus being adapted to receive an atomizer for producing a spray composition having droplets having a diameter of less than 50 μm, said droplets. And at least one conditioning zone coupled to the atomizer, wherein the conditioning zone is configured to suspend the spray composition for a residence time in the range of about 0.1 seconds to about 60 seconds; A wet air inlet connected to the conditioning zone to control the relative humidity in the conditioning zone, a drying zone connected to the conditioning zone, adapted to dry the composition exiting the conditioning zone; An apparatus for producing a dry powder comprising a heated gas inlet connected to a drying zone, a collector for collecting the dry composition in powder form.
