PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal nanoparticles capable of easily and quickly forming a conductive pattern on a resin substrate having low heat resistance, a method for producing the same, an aqueous dispersion, a method for producing a printed wiring / electrode, and a printed wiring board / device. . SOLUTION: Metal nanoparticles composed of either silver or a silver alloy and an iron compound and having an average particle diameter of 1 nm to 100 nm are obtained. An embodiment in which the iron atom content in the iron compound is 0.01 atom% to 10 atom% with respect to either silver or a silver alloy is preferable. The present invention also relates to an aqueous dispersion composed of the metal nanoparticles and a printed wiring / electrode manufacturing method in which the aqueous dispersion is coated on a resin substrate and dried at 200 ° C. or lower.
