abstract | An automatic development apparatus capable of producing a lithographic printing plate capable of producing a high-quality lithographic printing plate, which has been made to solve the drawbacks of a horizontal conveyance type automatic developing apparatus. An automatic development for immersion type lithographic printing plate in which a non-image portion is removed in a state where a lithographic printing plate precursor on which an image recording layer on a support is image-exposed is immersed in a developing tank filled with a developer. In the apparatus, the developer is circulated between the immersion type developing tank forming a processing pass line and an external tank provided outside the processing pass line so as to keep the liquid level of the immersion type developing tank constant.
