abstract | A method of manufacturing an ink jet recording medium in which a high printing density is obtained and coating defects are suppressed is provided. On a support, at least (A) a coating liquid A containing a cross-linking agent, and (B) a pseudoboehmite-like alumina hydrate with respect to the vapor-phase process silica, comprising a vapor-phase process silica and a water-soluble binder. Coating solution B in which the content of each of the above and the content of the crosslinking agent with respect to the vapor phase method silica is less than 3% by mass; and (C) a coating solution C containing pseudoboehmite-like alumina hydrate and a water-soluble binder, A method for producing an ink jet recording medium, comprising a step of forming an ink receiving layer by coating the substrate from the support side in this order.
