titleOfInvention | Anti-CD4 antibody homologues useful for the prevention and treatment of AIDS, ARC and HIV infection |
abstract | Provided is an anti-CD4 antibody that can effectively block HIV-induced syncytium formation without significantly blocking the binding of HIV gp120 to human CD4, and is induced by HIV between CD4 + cells. Providing 5A8 mimetic peptide or half-peptide compound that inhibits syncytium formation and / or inhibits HIV infection of CD4 + cells. An anti-CD4 antibody is provided that can effectively block HIV-induced syncytium formation without significantly blocking binding of HIV gp120 to human CD4. Further provided are 5A8 mimetic peptide or half peptide compounds that inhibit HIV-induced syncytium formation between CD4 + cells, and 5A8 mimetic peptide or half peptide compounds that inhibit HIV infection of CD4 + cells.
