abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing sodium salt of naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensate in which the amount of sodium hydroxide used is reduced and the amount of unnecessary sodium sulfate produced is reduced. [Solution] Sodium sulfate is added to the reaction mixture containing the naphthalenesulfonic acid formalin condensate and sulfonating agent after the sulfonation reaction and condensation reaction, and neutralized with sodium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide. Sodium sulfate produces sodium hydroxide by reaction with calcium hydroxide, and this sodium hydroxide produces sodium salt of naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensate, and the sulfonating agent contained in the reaction mixture becomes calcium hydroxide. Reacts to produce calcium sulfate. This calcium sulfate is separated in the gypsum separation step. [Selection figure] None |
