abstract | In a direct conversion type quadrature demodulator used in a multiband receiver, the influence on reception characteristics due to DC offset drift occurring at the time of band switching is reduced. A communication apparatus according to the present invention includes a plurality of quadrature demodulators 5 and 6 that perform quadrature demodulation of a plurality of band inputs, and a changeover switch 7 that selects one of the plurality of quadrature demodulators by a band switching control signal 15. In the multiband receiver including the high-pass filter 8 that receives the output of the changeover switch 7, the DC short switch 20 outputs the output of the BAND1 quadrature demodulator 5 and the output of the BAND2 quadrature demodulator 6 at the time of band switching.
