abstract The present invention provides a polymer-coated aerogel that maintains the characteristics of airgel having pores formed therein, is excellent in heat insulation characteristics, and is excellent in physical strength and processability. An airgel coated with a polymer is characterized in that an airgel and a polymer substance are mixed in a dry state and polymer fine particles are attached to the surface of the airgel, followed by heat treatment to form a polymer layer.
