[PROBLEMS] To provide a rubber composition as a tire material having low rolling resistance and excellent dry road surface handling stability, and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition. The rubber composition of the present invention has a mass average molecular weight (in terms of polystyrene measured by gel permeation chromatography) in the range of 5,000 to 500,000 per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component (A). A rubber composition containing an aromatic vinyl compound-conjugated diene compound copolymer (B) in a range of 2 to 70 parts by mass and a phenolic resin (C) in a range of 0.5 to 20 parts by mass. The curing agent (D) composed of a methylene donor is added to the resin (C) in an amount of 3 to 20 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass. Tire. [Selection] Figure 1 |
