abstract | Kind Code: A1 The present invention eliminates the occurrence of cracking and collapse of a precoat surface in an auxiliary filtration system. A filter aid is dispersed in a raw material dope and filtered by a first filter or a second filter. A filter aid is deposited on the filter medium support 60 in the filters 47 and 48, and the material dope 41 is efficiently filtered using the filter medium support 60 and the filter medium 63 composed of the deposited layer. When the filtration pressure becomes high, the filters 47 and 48 are switched, and the washing liquid is supplied to the used filter for washing. After the cleaning, the precoat liquid 61 is circulated, and the filter aid is uniformly deposited on the filter medium support 60 to form the precoat 62a. The precoat liquid 61 is drained by its own weight. At the time of draining, the solvent saturated gas 76 corresponding to the drained liquid is sent into the filter 47 through the communication pipe 75 and the valve V7 to prevent generation of burrs on the surface of the precoat.
