abstract Provided are a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus, and an image forming method capable of easily performing replacement work, preventing waste of resources, and suppressing damage to a latent image carrier. A developing device 5 and a sub-unit 90, which is a unit provided with the charging device 4, are configured to be detachable from the image forming apparatus main body while leaving the photoreceptor 2 in the image forming apparatus main body. With this configuration, the charging device and the developing device that have reached the replacement time can be replaced without taking out the photosensitive member 2 that has not yet reached the replacement time from the apparatus main body.
