abstract | Disclosed is a pigment ink composition which has dispersion stability even when the pigment concentration is high and maintains good ink characteristics even when stored for a long period of time. In addition to the above-mentioned excellent properties, pigments that can improve the anti-fading properties such as light resistance and ozone resistance, and also scratch resistance, and can form a good image on the media due to the high coloring power and anti-fading property of the pigment. An ink composition and an image forming method using the same are provided. Furthermore, an environmentally friendly pigment ink composition that can be safely prepared on-site on-demand is provided. A pigment ink composition containing pigment fine particles included in a polymer and a polymer compound having a hydrophilic group in an aqueous medium, wherein the polymer compound having the hydrophilic group is provided.
