titleOfInvention Mutant luciferase
abstract Non-naturally active mutants of beetle luciferase and DNA encoding such mutants are provided. A mutant luciferase is obtained from a beetle. Mutant luciferase differs from the corresponding wild-type luciferase by producing bioluminescence with a wavelength of peak intensity that differs by at least 1 nm from the wavelength of peak intensity of bioluminescence produced by the wild-type enzyme. This mutant luciferase and DNA are used for various biodetections. [Selection figure] None
