titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal panel and liquid crystal display device |
abstract | Provided are a liquid crystal panel and a liquid crystal display device including a combination polarizing plate that can be formed in a large area and can contribute to an improvement in viewing angle. A liquid crystal panel according to the present invention includes a liquid crystal cell, one polarizing plate disposed on one side of the liquid crystal cell, and between the liquid crystal cell and one polarizing plate. A first optical laminate A having an optical compensation layer 38 in which a refractive index ellipsoid satisfies a relationship of nx> ny ≧ nz, the other polarizing plate disposed on the other surface side of the liquid crystal cell, and a liquid crystal A second optical layered body B including an optical compensation layer 37 disposed between the cell and the other polarizing plate and having a refractive index ellipsoid satisfying a relationship of nx = ny> nz. At least one of the first and second optical laminates includes the first polarizing plate 1 and the first polarizing plate arranged side by side on the surface opposite to the liquid crystal cell of the optical compensation layer so that at least one pair of end faces face each other. The polarizing plate is a combined polarizing plate having two polarizing plates 2. [Selection] Figure 6 |
