An energy absorption structure for a battery mounting portion capable of effectively absorbing kinetic energy of a battery at a side collision is obtained. In a battery mounting portion, a shock absorbing duct connects a vehicle body floor and a center console box (battery side) and is deformed when a load f exceeding a predetermined value is input from the center console box. Therefore, when a load f exceeding a predetermined value is input from the center console box 40 to the shock absorbing duct 46 at the time of a side collision, the shock absorbing duct 46 is bent and deformed.
