abstract | The present invention relates to a method capable of manufacturing a color filter with high pattern accuracy and productivity, which is simple and can reduce the number of steps. Exposure is performed from the back surface of a glass substrate 1 whose surface is coated with a photosensitive composition 3, and a lyophilic exposure portion 5 and a lyophobic non-exposure portion 6 are formed on the surface of the glass substrate 1. Then, the exposed portion 5 is visualized with the colored liquid 7 to produce a color filter. Further, as the photosensitive composition 3, a photosensitive composition 3 composed of polysilane and a siloxane compound is used. In the manufacturing method, a coating layer of the photosensitive composition 3 is formed in a region where the black matrix 2 is formed on the surface and at least the black matrix 2 is not formed, and exposed from the back surface of the translucent substrate.
