A novel naphthalocyanine dye compound having excellent light stability for forming an invisible image together with a visible image is provided. A naphthalocyanine dye compound in which a central metal is a divalent metal, a trivalent substituted metal, a tetravalent substituted metal, or an oxy metal. For example, an oxyvanadyl naphthalocyanine dye compound can be obtained by cyclizing 1- (substituted phenyl) -2,3-dicyanonaphthalene represented by the following general formula (IV) in the presence of vanadium trichloride.
