PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a moisture-proof paper exhibiting high moisture resistance even with a moisture-proof layer having a low coating amount and having excellent production efficiency. An undercoat layer containing a pigment and a binder is applied to at least one surface of a paper support to form an undercoat layer. Before the undercoat layer is dried, an inorganic layered compound and a synthetic resin emulsion are added. A method for producing a moisture-proof paper, comprising forming a moisture-proof layer by applying a moisture-proof paint containing the curtain by a curtain coating method. The method for producing moisture-proof paper, wherein the pigment of the undercoat paint is one or more substances selected from the group consisting of kaolin, clay, talc, silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, and mica. The method for producing moisture-proof paper, characterized in that the moisture-proof paint contains a nitrogen-containing compound. [Selection figure] None |
