abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting composition for a polyimide film that does not hinder the heat resistance of the polyimide as well as excellent adhesion to the polyimide film, and uses the composition A resist agent and a surface-modified polyimide film are provided. [Solution] The number average molecular weight is 3000 or more and 300,000 or less, and the main chain has one or more linking groups selected from an ester bond, a urethane bond, an amide bond, an imide bond, and an ether bond, and the molecule has a phenolic aromatic. A thermosetting composition for polyimide films, comprising a resin containing a ring structure and at least one curing agent selected from a melamine resin, a benzoguanamine resin, and a phenol resin, and a resist agent using the same, and further surface-modified Polyimide laminate.
