abstract | Toner scattering caused by excessive pressure increase at a longitudinal end portion of a developer carrying member of a developing device is suppressed. A developing roller 51 that carries a developer and conveys the developer to a portion facing the photoreceptor, and a case 50 that contains a developer containing at least toner and has an opening at the portion facing the photoreceptor.
