abstract | An image-forming member having improved durability, comprising a crack-proof backing layer on the side of a substrate opposite to the image-forming layer. The back layer of the imaging member provides excellent crack resistance to the front imaging layer. The anti-cracking backing layer can be a laminated adhesive such as a tape or coating. Since the anti-cracking backing layer is on the back side, the electrical properties of the imaging member are not affected.
