abstract To provide a dephosphorylating agent for ErbB4, a prophylactic / therapeutic agent for diseases caused by overexpression of ErbB4, and a screening method for Ptprz agonists / antagonists. A receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase Ptprz gene or a recombinant vector capable of expressing human Ptprz is used as a prophylactic / therapeutic agent for diseases caused by overexpression of human ErbB4. In addition, phosphorylated ErbB4 was used as a substrate, Ptprz was allowed to act in the presence of the test substance, and the degree of ErbB4 dephosphorylation was measured. When the degree of dephosphorylation is large, the test substance is evaluated as a dephosphorylation promoting substance by Ptprz. Conversely, when the degree of dephosphorylation is small, the test substance is evaluated as a dephosphorylation inhibiting substance by Ptprz. . [Selection figure] None
