abstract A method for preparing tetrahydropyran compounds. The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of tetrahydropyran derivatives comprising a ring containing at least one further oxygen. In particular, compounds are prepared that contain two tetrahydropyran rings or at least one tetrahydropyran ring and at least one dioxane ring. Here, condensation with aldehydes and / or ring closure reactions are used. This preparation method produces a novel tetrahydropyran compound containing at least two O-heterocycles.
