An implantable graft is provided that is inserted into a fistula tract to close the primary opening of the fistula. To prevent inadvertent slippage or extrusion of the graft from the patient's fistula, the graft is provided with a cap that extends laterally from at least one end of the graft body, and the cap is integral with the graft body. However, it may be attachable to at least one end of the graft body and / or may be movable along the graft body. The graft further has a tail that extends from one end of the body of the graft and assists in placing the graft in the fistula tract. The graft may be a unitary unit made of a single material, such as a heterogeneous graft material, or may include separate components made of the same or different materials. A method of closing the fistula tract is also provided. |
