A method for producing a carbon composite material is provided. The method includes providing a carbon-containing resin material, to which an appropriate concentration of catalyst particles may be added. After this step, the catalyst-added resin may be subjected to a high temperature region, at which point the carbon in the resin begins to bond with the catalyst particles. By continuous exposure to high temperatures, additional carbon bonds to the carbon present on the particles are obtained. Thereafter, an array of carbon nanotubes grows in the resin material and a composite material is formed. |
