The present invention provides processed hydrogels, hydrogel particles, hydrogel-containing compositions, and methods for their production. The present invention also provides methods for implanting, injecting, or administering hydrogels, hydrogel particles, or hydrogel-containing compositions to treat patients in need thereof.
