abstract | The present invention provides an environment-friendly and effective pharmaceutical preparation suitable for organic agriculture as a plant growth promoter, soil conditioner, fungicide and insecticide, disease and harmful insect control agent. The formulation of the present invention comprises a Morinda citrifolia product or extract. The formulations of the present invention can be applied to fruits, vegetables, leaf vegetables, root vegetables, cereals, flowers and bulbs to increase yield and extend the period during which freshness after harvest can be maintained. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the processed Morinda citrifolia products and the antifungal and antibacterial activities of these processed products and various fractions of extracts from Morinda citrifolia L plants and to related methods for determining the mean inhibitory concentration. In particular, the present invention relates to the ethanol, methanol and ethyl acetate extracts from Morinda citrifolia L and their inhibitory activity on common fungi and bacteria, as well as the identification of average inhibitory concentrations. |
