The present invention relates to a vascular stent comprising: an expandable stent defining an internal compartment; a first polymerized layer exposed to the internal compartment defined by the stent, a drug that promotes re-endothelialization, a thrombus A first layer comprising an agent that inhibits disease, or a mixture thereof; and a second polymeric layer, at least partially outside the stent, adapted for vascular surface contact and vascular smoothness A second layer characterized by pores that are substantially impermeable to muscle cell migration. Methods for making and using vascular stents are also disclosed. |
