An improved aqueous dispersion of pigment is provided. An aqueous dispersion comprising a pigment (B) at least partially surrounded by at least one radiation curable polyurethane (A), wherein the at least one radiation curable polyurethane (A) comprises: (A) at least one diisocyanate; (B) at least one compound having a group reactive with at least two isocyanates; and (c) at least one general formula I: [Chemical 1] [In the above formula, R 1 and R 2 may be the same or different and are independently selected from hydrogen and C 1 -C 10 -alkyl; X 1 is selected from oxygen and N—R 3 ; A 1 is selected from C 1 -C 20 -alkylene unsubstituted or C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, phenyl or O 1 -C 1 -C 4 alkyl substituted or unsubstituted by C 1 -C 20 -alkylene, these C 1 -C 20 -alkylene may have one or more non-adjacent CH 2 groups substituted with oxygen, X 2 is selected from a hydroxyl group and NH—R 3 ; Each R 3 may be the same or different and is selected from hydrogen, C 1 -C 10 -alkyl and phenyl. ] It solves with the aqueous dispersion characterized by being obtained by reaction with the compound represented by these.
