abstract | The present invention provides an immunostimulatory combination and a method for enhancing TLR8-mediated biological activity. In general, an immunostimulatory combination includes a TLR8 agonist and an amount of an immunostimulatory oligonucleotide effective to enhance TLR8-mediated biological activity. The invention also provides a method for inducing TLR8-mediated biological activity in immune cells. In general, the method comprises contacting an immune cell with an immunostimulatory combination comprising a TLR8 agonist and an amount of an immunostimulatory oligonucleotide effective to enhance TLR8-mediated biological activity. In some cases, the immunostimulatory combination provides a synergistic increase in TLR8-mediated biological activity. |
