titleOfInvention Stimulator for vagus pinna
abstract Devices and methods for stimulating the vagus nerve pinna are provided herein. Various instrument embodiments include a lead, a neural stimulation circuit, and a controller. The lead has a nerve stimulation electrode. The nerve stimulation circuit is coupled to the lead to carry a nerve stimulation signal adapted to stimulate the pinna nerve branch using nerve stimulation electrodes. The control device is connected to a nerve stimulation circuit, and controls the delivery of the nerve stimulation signal from the nerve stimulation circuit so as to perform vagus nerve stimulation treatment. In various embodiments, the electrodes are arranged in the ear canal. In various embodiments, the electrode comprises a percutaneous nerve stimulation electrode adapted to be placed behind the ear. Other embodiments are provided herein.
