The method of synthesizing high quality nanoparticle colloids comprises a high heating rate process. Irradiating single mode high power microwaves is a particularly well-suited technique for achieving high quality semiconductor nanoparticles. By using microwave irradiation, the synthesis is effectively automated and, more importantly, allows the use of a continuous flow microwave reactor for the commercial production of high quality nanoparticle colloids. The present application provides a method for chemically synthesizing nanoparticles. The method includes a heating step of a reaction system that includes a precursor, a passivant, and / or a solvent in the reactor, and the temperature of the component is increased by 30 ° C./min or more. |
