titleOfInvention | Marked article and method for manufacturing the same |
abstract | A method for marking a thermoplastic article comprises: forming a composition by combining a thermoplastic resin with an optical marking additive; forming an article having a maximum absorption wavelength from the composition; and an output of about 200 mW or less. Illuminating at least a portion of the article with a marking wavelength using a device having the optical mark may be included. The optical mark can have a size of about 10 micrometers or more measured along the major axis. The optical mark may also have a mark absorption wavelength that is about ± 100 nm or more away from the maximum absorption wavelength and may have a spectral absorption curve.
