titleOfInvention | Blood cancer profiling system |
abstract | A system for profiling blood cancer is provided. The system is based on the identification of gene sets, which are correlated with changes in the expression of each gene within a gene set with one or more characteristics of a particular blood cancer. It is characterized in that The blood cancer profiling system provides a set of “blood cancer profiling” genes, and further provides a combination of polynucleotide probes derived from one or more blood cancer profiling sets. Combinations of these polynucleotide probes can be provided in solution or in the form of an array. Probe combinations and arrays can be used to predict disease prognosis, diagnosis, stage or grade determination, treatment management, disease progression monitoring, disease outcome or complication prediction. The system of the present invention can be used to profile a blood cancer selected from the group consisting of malignant lymphoma and leukemia. |
