abstract | The present invention relates to organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) that exhibit improved lifetime and improved transport of negative charge carriers. The organic light emitting diode is based on an organic semiconductor material whose stability with respect to transport and reduction of negative charge carriers is determined by an azahetalylene-Lewis acid complex unit. This results in an improved lifetime of the emissive layer, which on the one hand extends the lifetime of the device and suppresses lightness readjustment during operation. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an organic light emitting diode capable of appropriately affecting the state and emission color of the light emitting area in the light emitting layer by the azahetalylene-Lewis acid complex unit. |
