abstract | A data reproduction method and apparatus for a super-resolution information recording medium is disclosed. The method of reproducing data recorded on a super-resolution information recording medium capable of reproducing data recorded with a mark having a size less than the resolution of the incident light beam according to the present invention is different for the information recording medium. Irradiating a first beam having a power at which a super-resolution phenomenon occurs at a position and a second beam having a power at which the super-resolution phenomenon does not occur; a first reproduction signal by the first beam; and a second beam by a second beam. Detecting a reproduction signal, and calculating a time difference between the first reproduction signal and the second reproduction signal. According to such a configuration, the reproduction signal characteristic is improved by eliminating the signal reflected in the peripheral area other than the super-resolution area of the spot of the reproduction beam. |
