Green tea formulations and methods for their production are disclosed and described. Generally speaking, the manufacturing method involves mixing fresh green tea leaves in a certain amount of cold water, then pulverizing the leaves to release intracellular material from the green tea leaf cells into the water and removing the aqueous extract components. Including forming. The remaining cellular material forms a leaf residue component that is removed from the mixture. Once the leaf residue is removed, the aqueous extract components can be collected, dried or further processed to yield a final tea extract with good natural color, rich natural flavor and pleasant sensory irritation. It has a high polyphenol content and can be used for various purposes such as the production of green tea beverages. |
