abstract |
The present invention relates to a first polypeptide comprising an alpha subunit of FSH (αFSH) linked directly or indirectly to a binding partner of a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), and directly or indirectly to an FcRn binding partner. A novel heterodimeric fusion protein comprising a second polypeptide comprising a linked FSH beta subunit (βFSH) is provided. In one embodiment, the FcRn binding partner includes an Fc fragment of an immunoglobulin, eg, an Fc fragment of IgG. Also provided are methods for making and using the fusion proteins of the invention. The present invention provides methods of increasing fertility in a subject and methods of treating a subject having a disease state that is responsive to treatment with FSH. |
