titleOfInvention | Low pressure gas discharge lamp with UV-B phosphor |
abstract | The present invention is a low-pressure gas discharge lamp comprising a gas discharge tube having a filling gas having a discharge sustaining composition, wherein at least part of the wall of the discharge tube has gadolinium as an activating material in a host lattice. A light emitting material containing the first UV-B phosphor having (III) and praseodymium (III) as a photosensitive material is installed, and the low pressure gas discharge lamp generates and maintains a low pressure gas discharge. A low pressure gas discharge lamp is provided. Such a lamp is particularly beneficial for narrow band UV-B phototherapy. The present invention also relates to a UV-B phosphor having gadolinium (III) as an activating material and praseodymium (III) as a photosensitive material in a host lattice. |
