A method for producing a purified immunoglobulin preparation. The production method includes the steps of treating crude immunoglobulin with caprylic acid, removing aggregated proteins and viruses from the immunoglobulin solution, passing the immunoglobulin through an anion exchange column to purify the immunoglobulin, and thus obtaining Filtering the obtained immunoglobulin solution with a virus removal filter to produce an eluate containing immunoglobulin, and collecting the immunoglobulin. Combining caprylic acid treatment and precipitation with a protein precipitating agent effectively reduces the level of aggregated protein and virus and provides a truly virus-safe preparation after filtration. |
