titleOfInvention | System and method for managing harmful cardiac remodeling |
abstract | Systems and methods for managing and suppressing cardiac remodeling in MI patients. In order to consistently promote normal pumping of the heart, biventricular stimulation is constantly given with or without sensing. A pulse is applied using an anodic pulse followed by a cathodic pulse to stimulate myocardial contraction. Stem cells are applied to the MI region to promote regeneration of the heart tissue in the damaged region. Stimulation can be given to both healthy and treated heart tissue. |
