Monoclonal antibodies against thymidine kinase 1 useful in cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment methods are disclosed. The present invention, in one embodiment, provides a method for treating cancer in a mammal, the method comprising an amount of an S-phase regulatory protein or an amount thereof sufficient to inhibit cell proliferation in a mammal. Administering to the mammal a pharmaceutical composition containing an antibody against the fragment. In the above method, the antibody is preferably an anti-TK1 monoclonal antibody. |
