titleOfInvention Dynamic spacer of rear protrusion
abstract Various flexible interspinous devices for insertion into the interspinous space between adjacent spinous processes with improvements over prior devices are provided. In an interspinous spacer with an extension of a shape memory metal, in the first embodiment, the extension on one side of the implant is made of a shape memory metal. The implant is inserted into the space between the spinous protrusions in a collapsed, low temperature form. As the temperature of the implant rises to the patient's body temperature, the upper and lower extensions made of shape memory metal transform into the austenite phase and extend upward and downward, respectively, thereby causing the upper and lower The spinous process on the side is pinched and the implant is fixed in place.
