titleOfInvention | Contact lens packaging solutions and methods for improving the comfort of disposable contact lenses |
abstract | The present invention relates to new and improved solutions for packaging contact lenses, and to methods for treating contact lenses with such solutions to improve the comfort of the lens during wear. In particular, the present invention relates to packaging solutions containing certain nonionic surfactants, which contain poly (oxyalkylene) copolymers and have a molecular weight of 4000 to 30,000. . Such surfactants are retained on the surface of the unused lens for an extended period of time, resulting in sustained surface modification in the eye, which is significant for the wet properties of new contact lenses used for the first time. Gives improvements and prevents drying and improves lubricity even after several hours of lens insertion. [Selection figure] None |
