abstract To provide a gaming machine capable of maintaining a player's interest in a special game state such as a probability change state over a long period of time and further enhancing the interest of the game. A game control microcomputer as a game control means transmits a change pattern command and an effect symbol designation command to an effect control microcomputer as an effect control means at the start of symbol change. The effect control microcomputer determines the type of the first effect based on the received effect symbol designation command, and executes the first effect while the symbol changes. In addition, the game control microcomputer transmits a fanfare command and an effect symbol designation command at the end of symbol variation. The effect control microcomputer determines the second effect type based on the first effect type and the received effect designating command, and executes the second effect during the big hit game.
